Today I want to tell you about Tommy’s baby charity, but first welcome back! I know its been a while! Autumn has wormed its way upon us and there is a chill in the air. Its a beautiful time of year full of changes and hopefully for most of us, the children return to school and our lives morph back into normality.

One year ago

I’ve always loved this time of year but this year I feel a little afraid of my own reactions. Its coming up a year since we lost Harry. Again, its gone so quickly I haven’t had much time to process. Just the timehop app posts that I’m reading and knowing I was pregnant and dying of excitement to tell the world our news.

Instead of dwelling and feeling miserable about my situation, I’ve decided do a fund raiser in Harrys name for Tommy’s. I am going to brave the shave in October, freeze afterwards but raise money for an amazing Charity who helped me when I really needed it.

What is Tommy’s?

“We fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. We believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy or birth. We want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.” Tommy’s

Tommy’s are working on research to help women who have multiple miscarriages and most importantly why this is happening. Its a lovely charity that give us hope that one day, we too can have and hold our very own small person. That they will grown into beautiful people who we love so very very much.

Can you help Tommy’s?

Can you spare £1 to sponsor me? Iknow I usually have short hair but after the loss of my hairdresser in aprillreally couldn’t face another hairdresser so I’ve grownit-and I’m glad because now shaving my head is definitely more worth while.

How do we know you’ll do it?

Well for one, its for Harry, I’m not going to back out-but to prove what I’m doing ,my friend has been hired to video and take photos of the entire
thing!- It will be posted to t all to an my social media’s of course on here too.

Bottom line is, given the year we’ve all had, aolt of charities haven’t had the funding they would usually have had to help them carry out their work. Times are hard and I do get that, but if you or a loved one we’re going thought this you’d want to help right? So why not help now t prevent this from happening to anyone every again?

Just a thought.
